Many aggressive teens and children will often just burst!

They are unpleasant, abusive toward siblings, hit, shove, and have a potty mouth.

They treat grownups with no respect.

They are so angry that they won't comply with requests due to their nasty attitude. No parent should tolerate this vulgar behaviour in a child since it is stressful, exhausting and has serious long-term repercussions.

 

If you indulge these types of children or make excuses for yourself that they are too difficult for you to handle, too young to get discipline, or will change when the time comes, no one will respect you and one day this type of child will step all over you and cause you shame.

 

It is your responsibility to foster positive character development in your children and to align yourself with those who wish to see them go in a good direction in life. Avoid arguing with your spouse over how your child should or shouldn't behave, especially when the youngster is present.

 

When your children are picking up disrespect and bad behaviour from somewhere, step up and establish rules in your home. 

Spend some time with your children.

#GoodMum, do a good job as a parent. #DoMuch. Understanding your responsibilities is not something you flush down the toilet. Teach your children the value of appropriate behaviour, self-respect, and respect for others. When it comes to raising your children, practice discipline.

How to Teach Your Children Gratitude

 

SAYING THANK YOU IS AN IMPORTANT PART OF PROPER MANNERS YOU SHOULD TEACH YOUR CHILDREN. WHILE YOU MAY TEACH YOUR CHILDREN THE IMPORTANCE OF THANK-YOU AFTER EVERY GIFT NO MATTER WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN GIFTED TO THEM, YOU ARE EXPECTED TO ALSO EXPLAIN TO THEM HOW TO SAY, THANK-YOU PROPERLY.

How should you prepare your children for this crucial social courtesy?

To begin to teach your children gratitude, you’d have to adopt the behaviour, and model it for them.

Most children don’t understand the definition of thank-you.

Do you as a parent know?

I’d explain it to you. Thank you doesn’t mean I love that you shower me with gifts, thank you means I notice the kindness you showed to me. So, when your children are truly grateful, they shouldn’t just say, “Thanks for the gift, Aunt Moji.” They should say what they are thankful for about the gift. And when you explain this to children, children are very in tune with loving and appreciating others.

Example of a good thank you message for your children:

Dear Aunt Moji,

What a nice bicycle! I had fun running around with it with my friends after school. It is kind of you to give me such a refined gift. Thank you so much.

Just like it’s hard to forget a story from a workshop, children are attuned to role-play.

Never Switch This. . .

 

Instilling the right traits in your children, and giving them the future they deserve in life isn’t really about the money. There are times in life that a disaster may strike, and cause a long-term drastic change in family financial circumstances.

As a parent, it’s your responsibility to help your children transit into this change without losing your parental ‘respect.’

In poverty, still, keep good ideals. Ensure a holistic development of your children’s character.

Even when your children do honest work to support the family financially, ‘defy switching your fatherly or motherly role with the child role.’ Collecting money from the children doesn’t mean they have become the parent.

If you let your children grow up to see you as ‘nothing,’ such perception will be difficult to change later on in life.

Talk Yourself Up

Can trying to raise children of character sometimes stress you out? Of course, it can, and it's normal to feel that way. When your ability to keep your children thriving mannerly is challenged and it seems as though you’re not doing good enough as a mother, reassure yourself that the fact that your children are having behaviour challenge isn't a reflection on your worthiness, competence or that you're an inferior mother.

Whenever you’re having difficulty trying to fix a child’s misbehaviours, think the right thoughts, and you’d be able to identify the holistic ways to help the child takes to correction.

The feelings of inadequacy or guilt can hurt you from inside out, make your parenting stressful and absolutely impacts your children’s development character.

It’s important to always remember that you’re a beautiful mother, and you’re doing the best you can to raise children of good character. Whatever the challenge you ever face raising your children always talks yourself up from it.
